Frequency Expressions
برای نشان دادن اینکه یک فعل چند وقت به چند وقت، یا بر اساس چه ترتیبی اتفاق می افتد می توانیم از عبارت های قیدی زیر و ساختار های مشابه آنها استفاده کنیم.
every day / week ...
هر روز / هفته ...
every other day / week ...
یک روز / هفته در میان ...
once a day / week ...
روزی / هفتهای ... یک بار
twice a day / week ...
روزی / هفتهای ... دو بار
three times a day / week ...
روزی / هفتهای ... سه بار
every three days / weeks ...
هر سه روز / هفته ...
جای این عبارتهای قیدی معمولا در انتهای جمله است.
She goes to the gym every other day.
او یک روز در میان می رود باشگاه.
We usually go to the movies three or four times a year.
ما معمولا سه یا چهار بار در سال سینما می رویم.
You should take this medicine every six hours.
این دارو را هر شش ساعت باید مصرف کنی.
وقتی می خواهیم بپرسیم چند وقت به چند وقت یک فعل اتفاق می افتد، از عبارت سوالی how often استفاده می کنیم.
A: How often do you eat out?
چند وقت یک بار بیرون از خانه غذا می خوری؟
B: I usually eat out two or three times a month.
معمولا دو یا سه بار در ماه بیرون غذا می خورم.
